SO JUST CHECKING, ONE MORE TIME, WHEN IS THE WEDDING?
June 24th, 2017! And, we don’t blame you for double checking!

WHAT IS THE DATE YOU’D LIKE THE RSVP BY?
We appreciate your RSVP by June 1st. You can RSVP through the website here.

WHERE IS YOUR WEDDING LOCATED?
Both the ceremony and the reception will be held down in San Diego, at Louis A. Stelzer Park. Located at 11470 Wildcat Canyon Road, Lakeside, CA 92040. Please Note: This locale is nestled up into the canyon and can creep up on you fast. Once you hit the Willow stop sign and continue ahead, we recommend keeping a close eye out for the signs indicating Stelzer Park and expect to make a right, into the parking lot, quickly. There is a second entrance toward the rear of the park if you miss the first one.

HOW ABOUT THE RECEPTION?
Yep, we’ll be spending the reception at Stelzer Park too! We figure after all that commuting for everyone, it will be nice to stay in one place for a few hours!

WHAT TIME DOES THE CEREMONY START?
We’re due to start at 4:30PM. Everyone cross your fingers!

WHAT TIME DO YOU SUGGEST WE ARRIVE?
We suggest 3:45PM so that you have a bit of a cushion against traffic, unforeseen parking issues, and the other unforeseen things that we’re all going to laugh about AFTER the wedding!

HOW LATE WILL WE BE CELEBRATING?
The park will stay open a little later for us, so we’ll be winding down around 7:30PM, so that we can be packed up and out, ready to let the park rangers head home by 8:00PM.

THE VENUE

WHERE SHOULD WE PARK?
There is parking onsite, once you turn off the main road, and you may park in any public space. From there, it’s a very short walk from the parking lot to the ceremony and reception locations. Parking is complimentary.

WILL WE BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?
We will be outdoors for the duration of the ceremony and reception, under a canopy of trees, with very little direct sunlight. If you take a peek at some of the photos of the location on the “Ceremony” page, you can see how the sun filters through very lightly and that it’s very shaded throughout!

WHAT FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE TO US?
There are bathrooms a small walk from the ceremony location and they are pristinely maintained.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? WAIT. WHY DO YOU CARE?
Well, you’re already fabulous! But we want you to be comfortable, so here’s a few things that might inform your decision when you get all spiffy that day:
  • It bears repeating that this wedding is taking place outdoors, in the summer, albeit in the shade. The weather can always surprise us with wind or unseasonable rain, but it is unlikely. It may also be cool closer to the evening so you may want to bring a nice jacket or wrap to have ready in your car.
  • The reception seating utilizes picnic tables, which is something to think about when wearing skirts and dresses.
  • This venue is at a county park with standard cement and asphalt walkways, as well as hiking trails and various rough terrains (dirt, uneven footpaths, grass). The ceremony and reception will take place on a leafy, packed dirt area, surrounded by trees. Flats are highly recommended.
  • Our wedding is a very small, intimate gathering of fewer than 40 people. It’s true we weren’t able to invite everyone we would have loved to, but we are so humbled by those who are able to attend and to that end, we would like to take a group photo(s)*. Add to this the certainty that you will be captured in photos throughout the day and…you’ve been forewarned. *wink*
* Guests are more than welcome to opt out of group photos or activities that just aren’t for them. Although we just can’t promise that you won’t make it into candid photos. Our photographer is a busy little bee!

THE RECEPTION

WILL FOOD BE SERVED?
Yes! We will be enjoying a meal and refreshments together that will begin around 6PM. If there are any food allergies that we should be aware of, please reach out and let us know.

EXCELLENT! NOW, WHEN YOU SAY "REFRESHMENTS"...
We know that it is traditional to serve alcohol at celebrations like these, but we will not be serving it and we ask that you do not bring your own.

WILL THERE BE A VEGETARIAN OPTION?
Absolutely! The menu will attend to both meat-appreciating and veggie-loving palates!

IS THERE A GIFT REGISTRY?
No, there isn’t. We are just very, very excited to have you be a part of this joyful day with us!
